House Calls

In New Jersey, United Medical’s House Call Program (MHCP) provides high-quality primary healthcare to patients at home who are terminally ill, disabled, or do not have transportation.

The goal of this program is to provide a service that can improve the continuity of care between the home and hospital and provide support and education for families and caretakers. There is a broad range of social and supportive services in the community we can connect you to as well.

You may be eligible for house call visits if you are:

  • Homebound and not able to leave your home
  • Terminally ill and cannot get to your scheduled office appointments
  • Having difficulty using public or private transportation due to health conditions or mobility limitations

House Call Programs for the Elderly

For elderly patients who have chronic medical conditions, it is difficult to make visits to the doctor's office. Our doctors can coordinate a home visit so elderly patients can maintain the necessary care they deserve. Medicare and many other types of insurance cover physician services in the home just like an office visit.

Covered Areas

House calls are provided to those within a 5 mile radius from our office locations (Clifton Rt. 46 office is excluded). Please call for more details.

Why get out if you don’t have to? Call United Medical in Lyndhurst (201) 460-0063, Bayonne (201) 339-6111, or Clifton, NJ (973) 546-6844 to schedule a house call.
